Retired 3M electrical engineer Bob Nepper, 82, has a workshop in his North St. Paul, Minnesota home filled with devices and tools he has designed and built over the years. Much of his work has been focused on water pasteurization, and he (along with a team of local piece workers who makes parts and assemble them) manufactures his SPORTSWAPI and SUPERWAPI, a small device that measures water temperature using melting wax, for a local company that makes solar ovens. Here, he works on a WAPI in his workshop.
