Retired 3M electrical engineer Bob Nepper, 82, has a garage in his North St. Paul, Minnesota home filled with devices and tools he has designed and built over the years. Much of his work has been focused on water pasteurization, but he has done all sorts of projects. Here, he demonstrates his angled snow pusher, which features an extra pole on a ball joint designed to make the shovel easier to maneuver and easier on the arms. He says he uses it all winter long.
