The Minnesota United FC defeated the Chicago Fire 2-1 in the soccer season opener at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on March 17, 2018. Organized groups, joined here by the Minnesota Loon mascot, were among the fans who showed up to cheer on both sides.
