Mourner Lillie Codrington of Queens leaves the wake of family friend Sean Bell, 23, who was killed in a hail of 50 bullets by New York City police officers, at the Community Church of Christ in Queens, New York on December 1, 2006. Bell was killed in the early morning of November 25, 2006 leaving his bachelor party at Club Kalua in Queens, just hours before he as scheduled to marry in the church where his funeral was held.

Codrington said she was outraged by the murder a recent incident between her daughter and a police officer in Yonkers. "They're not only attacking our sons," she said of police, "they're going to move in on our daughters."
