Retired 3M electrical engineer Bob Nepper, 82, has a workshop and a garage in his North St. Paul, Minnesota home filled with devices and tools he has designed and built over the years. Much of his work has been focused on water pasteurization, and he (along with a team of local piece workers who makes parts and assemble them) manufactures his SPORTSWAPI and SUPERWAPI, a small device that measures water temperature using melting wax, for a local company that makes solar ovens. Pictured here is a device that Napper built to manufacture a small plug part for the WAPIs.
