Joe D'Esposito, left, 43, holds a photo (dated September 1986, courtesy of the D'Esposito family) of his mother, Josephine "Josie" D'Esposito, the owner and operator of Josie's Java on Court Street in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, who died Monday of heart failure at the age of 76, at the Raccuglia & Sons Funeral Home on Sackett Street during her wake. With him are his brothers, from left, Lee, 34, Nick, 40 and Frank, 44. Joe and Lee are New York City Police Officers, Frank is in business and Nick helped his mother run the shop.
