Julie Varney, from left, manager and event coordinator of Dellwood Barn Weddings in Dellwood, Minnesota, gives a tour of the space and grounds to prospective client and bride-to-be Andrea Paiz, 27, of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Jane Mylrea of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Paiz' future mother-in-law (mother of her fiancee Nate Mylrea, who was not present) on July 2, 2014. The couple are considering booking the barn for their wedding in the summer or fall of 2015.
They are looking at the barn where receptions and indoor ceremonies are held, from the outdoor spot where ceremonies are held (weather permitting).
Scott Alan Jordan, the owner of the building and property, has converted the former dairy barn (which is estimated to be over 100 years old, is approximately 3800 square feet in size and can accommodate 250 guests) into a permitted wedding and event venue space.
Jordan owns a commercial construction company and grows hay for his horses on his 50 acre plot that used to be a much larger working dairy farm.
*caption location note: The property straddles both the towns of Dellwood and Grant, Minnesota.
