Black Lives Matters protest outside the Minneapolis Police Department 4th precinct
Protesters hold up tarps outside a back fence of the Minneapolis Police Department 4th precinct headquarters, intended to prevent any spray or chemical irritants they expected police to deploy from hitting them, during Black Lives Matter protests on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Police later tore some of the tarps down.
This newest round of protests erupted after activists who had been camped out in the front entrance to the precinct were cleared out by police earlier in the day. Protests and the encampment came in reaction to the shooting of 24-year-old Jamar Clark by Minneapolis Police on Sunday.
