The sun sets over the fishing village of Perumalpettai, in Tamil Nadu, India on January 19, 2005, after the area was struck by the Indian Ocean Tsunami on December 26, 2004, killing 37 of the villagers and destroying nearly all of their fishing boats. Generated by an earthquake on the ocean floor, the tsunami devastated the fishing industry along the southeastern coast of India.
