Mourners from the Queens $YGU, Inc. community organization, including K.C., second from left, and Earth, right, stand outside the wake of Sean Bell, 23, who was killed in a hail of 50 bullets by New York City police officers, at the Community Church of Christ in Queens, New York on December 1, 2006. Bell was killed in the early morning of November 25, 2006 leaving his bachelor party at Club Kalua in Queens, just hours before he as scheduled to marry in the church where his funeral was held.

Earth explained that one of the missions of his organization it to create dialogue between the police and the community. "Obviously don't understand things," he said, "so we have to translate for them."
